Tony contacted us with just one burning ambition in mind, to finally have enough showers and toilets so that the whole family can get ready at the same time !!

The Vision

This project began with the idea of adding second washroom upstairs to allow for the various members of the family to be able to get ready at the same time, originally his house came with just one main bathroom.

Tony also wanted to make the bath itself more of a feature in the space to allow for a more relaxing peaceful environment where you might want to stay and soak rather than just wash and dash.

Unique Design Challenges

Originally, the house came with a VERY oversized bathroom ( "with far too much space for what you do in there" as Tony pointed out ) .

We proposed using the proportions of their upstairs living space completely differently. which would enable to not just add in a full shower room but also would allow the secondary bedroom to be further expanded to make use of the gained space.

Our Design Solutions

In oder to bring this vision to life we ended up proposing the following:

• moved the internal wall of the second bedroom to make the space more cozy
• created a second shower room upstairs but ALSO created a second WC in an under used understair space downstairs
• proposed a modern look for the master bathroom along with a modern freestanding bath
• built in a special alcove to add an area for wash products close at the bath.

Tom and his team were really great to have in the house, nothing was too much trouble and Nendick Services really took time to understand what we REALLY wanted out of this work .  ​
